Careers

The Careers area is centrally located within school, and is open to all girls, their parents and staff. Each lunchtime, and at other times by appointment, a member of the Careers team is available for consultation. The Careers department co-ordinate careers trips and initiatives, organise psychometric testing, interviews and follow-up courses, maintain the Careers resources according to the Connexions CRCI system and deliver a programme of taught sessions in Years 10 and 11.

Leicester High School for Girls is an ISCO (The Independent Schools Careers Organisation) ‘All-in’ school, which means that from Year 11 onwards, all girls are full members of ISCO. This provides careers advice and support during this important period of transition and beyond.

The Careers Programme is designed to offer a variety of timely and appropriate interventions. These involve whole school initiatives, a biennial careers convention, a programme of lunchtime talks, careers bulletins and careers-themed assemblies.
