Year 7 Geography Trip to Sheringham

Lots of practical field work and plenty of fun too, in Norfolk...

Early on 27 September Year 7 gathered on London Road to set off for the Norfolk coast. Af ter a very warm journey we arrived at Hilltop Outdoor Centre, our home for the next three nights. We had lunch on the patio, before starting our afternoon activities. We were split into two groups while we were there. Over the next three days the girls followed a programme of activities, including rock pooling, team tasks, Big Zipper, coastal erosion, climbing abseiling and the Power Fan, longshore drift and high ropes.

In the evenings we were all together, and on Sunday night we played a game called Next Step, which was designed to promote teamwork. On Monday evening we had a dark walk and a campfire, where we toasted marshmallows before bedtime. For our last night we stayed in to take advantage of the tuck shop being open and we watched a DVD, as we were all tired!

By Wednesday lunchtime we were sorry to leave as we had all had a great time, but most of us were pleased to get home to our own beds....
