Foundation Unit Denim Den-Making Day
Girls build some brilliant dens for Save the Children and raised £937.18!
On Friday 17 June the Foundation Unit girls came dressed in denim and full of ideas as to how they were going to construct, in teams, their dens. There was friendly competition as to who was building the tallest, cosiest and who used the most pegs and tape! The girls enjoyed a picnic lunch and in the afternoon had a visit from a representative from Save the Children. They discovered that many children have to live with no nutritious food and drink water that resembles mud. In the afternoon many parents came to view the dens, including one, cleverly camouflaged, in the Spinney. Sponsorship raised a fantastic £937.18 for Save the Children.
