Girls in Y10 show sound business sense with huge profits in 'tenner challenge'.
Six students in Year 10 have been running an after school tuck shop for the past few weeks as their ‘Tenner Challenge’. Young Enterprise invested £40 in the business, which the girls used to buy some stock. The shop has been very popular with the girls in aftercare and those just passing on their way out of school. The girls were keen to stock some healthy snacks, as well as some sweets and crisps.
On Tuesday 10 March, Tina Smith, Leicestershire Young Enterprise Manager came into school to meet the girls and see the shop for herself. She was very impressed by their commitment, organisation and the amount of money they have made in just over three weeks – more than £140 profit!
