How to Apply – International Students

Step 1: Find out about the School

If you are unable to visit us in person, we recommend you find out as much as you can about the School from our website, social media and prospectuses. We keep all of these as up-to-date as possible and they should be your first port of call in deciding whether LHS is the right School for your daughter.

We also recommend you call or email our Admissions Officer, Mrs Jaiya l.jaiya@leicesterhigh.co.uk, who will be delighted to talk to you about the School and answer any questions you may have.

Step 2: Registration and Assessment

Once you have decided that you would like to progress with an application, you need to register your daughter for an Entrance Examination. To register for the Entrance Examination, you will need to complete a Registration Form and return it to the School with an £85.00 registration fee. We will also need to take a copy of your daughter’s passport and birth certificate.

If you wish for your daughter to join the School but are unable to attend the UK to sit the Entrance Examination, you must sit a UKiset Test at a British Council Office abroad. You will need to provide us with your UKiset report at the earliest possible stage in the registration process. We may also require a school report from your daughter's current school.

Registration does not guarantee your daughter a place at the School, nor does it commit you to joining us. It simply means you would like your daughter to sit the examination. However, although there is no deadline for registering, classes do get full and offers are made on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, we encourage you to register as soon as you feel the School is right for you and your daughter.

Step 3: Offer

If your daughter meets the entrance requirements for the year group she will be joining, we will issue an offer letter of a place at the School along with the contract.

If your daughter does not require a Child Student Visa (formerly the Tier 4 (Child) student visa) to study with us you will need to return the signed contract to us, along with the £250 deposit, to secure your daughter’s place at the School.

Step 4: Visas

The School is a Child Student visa (formerly the Tier 4 (Child) student visa) Sponsor Institution. If your daughter requires a Child Student Visa to study with us, in addition to the offer letter and contract, we will issue a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies).

Once the Visa has been granted you will need to return the signed contract to us, along with the £250 deposit, to secure your daughter’s place at the School.

Step 5: Induction Day

When a new girl is due to join us in September, they will be invited to attend an Induction Day, usually in the June before. This is an opportunity for you to get to know the staff, the School and each other before School starts.

If you are unable to make it to the UK for the Induction Day, we will ensure you receive all of the relevant starting information by email and post.
