Facilities

Girls in our Junior Department benefit from well-designed classroom spaces within a separate Junior building on the School site. This enables us to maintain the family feeling, which our parents value, whilst also ensuring the girls benefit from access to all the facilities you would expect.

EYFS

Girls in Foundation (Preschool) and Reception class (EYFS) have their own dedicated area on the ground floor. In the EYFS there are

  • Two main classrooms
  • The EYFS Library
  • The Activity Room for art and dressing up
  • A heated and covered outdoor classroom for role play
  • An outdoor area for sand and water play.
  • A cloakroom

Years 1 to 5

Girls in Y1-5 are mainly taught in their own well-designed classrooms.  However, they also benefit from access to the Junior Library, the Computer Suite and Art Studio.

The Spinney

We are extremely lucky to have our own onsite Spinney, which provides us with an outdoor classroom area where the girls can learn about nature, caring for animals and being safe when outside.

The Junior Hall

The Junior Hall is used by all Year Foundation to Year 5 girls. Every day all girls share lunch together in the Hall. We hold our Junior Department assemblies twice a week and our singing practices twice a week in the Hall. EYFS benefit from PE lessons using the Hall’s apparatus, with Reception receiving a weekly Ballet lesson there. Years 1-5 use the Hall for some PE activities, such as dance. It is also used for our popular Before School Care and After School Care.

The Playground

We have a supervised playground just for the Junior Department with all-weather surfaces, ensuring rain very rarely stops play. There is a fenced pond area, tyre swings and playground equipment, including role play equipment for the younger girls.
