Life on the Home Front 15.3.18
On Thursday 15 March, Leicester High School for Girls welcomed Stephen Taylor from the History Channel's 'Treasure hunters' to showcase some of his finds and talk to KS3 about life on the Home Front in WW2.
He amazed us with his knowledge of Leicester's role in World War Two and even showcased the role that Leicester served in WW2 with Leicester Racecourse acting as a POW camp. Year 5 also joined in the fun, arriving dressed as refugees. Stephen's series has just been re commissioned for series 2, so keep a look out!
