Local Schools' Science Workshops at LHS
Local schools attend 'Super Science Stars' 6 week workshops at Leicester High
LHS hosted their third Super Science Stars activities with over twenty girls from three local primary schools. The Science Department ran hands-on activities over six sessions including: Magic potion distillation, fun with sound, rocket cars and a grand finale involving exploding eggs. Staff, technicians and students had a great time preparing and running the activities. Enthusiastic Y11 and Y12 students helped as mentors in the laboratories and were a real credit to the School. It is great to see the 'Science Stars' enjoying the thrill of science based activities and hopefully it will encourage some of them to pursue scientific careers.
