University of Leicester Subject Taster Day Y10/Y12
Year 10 and Year 12 visited the University of Leicester on Thursday 27 April for a Taster Day. Year 10 enjoyed introductions to Medicine, Law and Criminology, along with a talk on taking the next steps towards their goals and a campus tour. Year 12 attended a range of subject tasters as well as sessions on creating a personal statement and advice on student life.
A fantastic array of academic taster sessions from across our world-class departments as well as careers insight sessions from the University and other employers. Students attended lecture and seminar style sessions that enabled them to get a taste of university life and explore some of the courses on offer.
For our Year 12 students, this day forms part of the ‘next steps’ element of our enrichment programme, helping students to narrow down course choices in preparation for their application at the start of the next academic year.
