Sixth Form Applications
Thank you for considering Leicester High for your Sixth Form education. We welcome new girls from schools every year, and our aim is to make the transition as smooth and painless as possible.
Our next Open Morning takes place on Saturday 5 October 2019 and details can be found here.
Prospective pupils can arrange a tailored Taster Day at a date to suit the individual. During the visit, there is the opportunity to meet with the Head of Sixth Form and the Headmaster and choose A level lessons to 'try out'. You can also discover the Sixth Form facilities and meet current Sixth Form girls.
Registering for a place in the Sixth Form
All prospective pupils must complete a Registration Form and a Subject Choices form by the end of February. Find out how to Register by clicking here, or download the forms below.
Acceptance into the Sixth Form for Advanced GCE study will require Level 6 or above in at least six academically rigorous and relevant GCSE level subjects, and the subjects chosen for A level study should be supported by a GCSE Level 7 if possible. Ideally, students will have at least a Level 6 in GCSE English Language and Mathematics. A satisfactory report from the current school will also be required.
Offer of a place in the Sixth Form
Once all the correct documentation has been received, a conditional offer letter will be issued in advance of GCSE results. In August, prospective pupils confirm their results and accept the conditional offer in writing, ready to start in September.
