What makes the LHS Sixth Form Special?
Mrs Danielle Solly, Head of Sixth Form, and Miss Jeevan Sandhar, Head Girl 2016-17, outline why they think the Sixth Form is a special place to be:
The Sixth Form at LHS is a fantastic place to study your A levels. Not only do we offer a wide range of academic subjects taught in small classes by expert staff, we provide an unrivalled UCAS support programme ensuring you have the best possible chance of gaining a place at your first choice university. Our aim is for you to leave LHS as confident, independent women who are well equipped for university life and beyond.
Mrs Danielle Solly
One of the main differences of Leicester High School is the size. Being a small school allows a more personal feel to our lessons and means that we receive one-to-one support. The teachers understand us all and are pleased to catch up in the corridor. Furthermore, having a small school community means that every face is familiar: we are a family. Being a girls' school, I feel that Leicester High has a responsibility to bring up strong independent women. Our school celebrates women, organising many events where inspirational women are brought in to speak to the girls and various career events are held to motivate us.
