Impact of COVID 19 on Teaching and Learning in the Sixth Form

The School closed on Friday 20th March 2020. As a result of the nationwide lockdown of schools, the students missed out on teaching at school until July 9th 2020. During this time students were taught through teachers setting tasks on Show My Homework and were offered some remote teaching.

This was, however, not a compulsory requirement for staff, therefore the possibility of accessing remote teaching was varied for all A level subjects. Year 12 returned to school for face-to-face teaching in June, for only 4 days as Leicester went into local lockdown on the 29th June. School was, therefore, shut until September.

Year 13 had to self isolate for one week of term time in October 2020, due to a positive COVID-19 case in that year group.
