Examinations & Results

The School offers a broad, challenging and traditional curriculum. We believe in quality over quantity, and we offer challenging GCSEs and A levels which are favoured in university applications, enrich learning and provide a firm foundation for life in general.

We offer International (IGCSE) and GCSEs in 20 subjects. IGCSEs are taken in maths, chemistry, biology, physics and two languages: French and Spanish. Most girls take 10 GCSEs, including three sciences, at least one language, RE and a humanities subject. Over 20 A levels are offered in the Sixth Form. Most girls take three subjects at A level. Maths and the sciences are the most popular choices.

In 2016, 96% of the girls achieved grades A*-C in 5 or more subjects including English and Maths at GCSE. 75% of GCSE grades were A*/A (national average 21%), and 49% of the grades were A* (national average 7%).  The School is 69th in the Daily Telegraph 2016 GCSE League Table.
At A level, there was a 100% pass rate. 45% of the grades were A*/A. The national average is 25.9%. 73% of the girls gained A*, A and B grades.
