Leicester High for Girls Explores Brioche Pasquier

Leicester High School for Girls recently organised a field trip to Brioche Pasquier's facility in Milton Keynes, aimed at providing students with a practical understanding of food production processes.

Fourteen Year 10 students, including those studying Food Preparation and Nutrition at GCSE level, participated in the excursion.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to tour the factory, gaining insight into the meticulous processes involved in large-scale food production. They also took part in a taste trial of a forthcoming product intended for the British market.

Food students received a detailed demonstration of the brioche dough-making process, comparing dough qualities at different stages. Meanwhile, engineering students engaged in an activity involving disassembling and reassembling a piece of production line machinery.

Mrs. Jenny Whalley, Head of Food Studies at Leicester High School for Girls, commented, "The trip to Brioche Pasquier provided our students with a firsthand look at food production techniques. It was an informative experience that complemented their academic studies."

At the end of the day, students received goody bags as tokens of appreciation. Leicester High School for Girls extends its thanks to Brioche Pasquier for facilitating this educational opportunity.
