Take our Daughter to Work Day
Year 7 spend a day at work with their parents as part of their careers education
On Friday 28 April Year 7 went to work with their parents. I went with my mum in the morning to the fracture clinic at Leicester Royal Infirmary. I helped to put plaster casts on a patient and I had two different kinds of plaster cast put on me! Also I put a cast on the nurse and I used a plaster saw to remove a cast. I experienced what it is like to have a cast on for a day and it was a very interesting experience, but the cast was irritating after a while. In the afternoon I was with my dad. I sorted out papers and I got to see an endoscopy. It was really interesting because I learnt what the functions of the extensions to the endoscope were. I interviewed one of my dad's co-workers and found out about what their job.
