Business Languages Competition
Well done to the LHS team of six for winning two prizes in this languages challenge
One girl from Year 10 and five from Year 11 took part in the Business Language Champions Competition in Stamford on 3 February. The challenge is aimed at GCSE students, and during the day they had to work on a marketing challenge which involved promoting Stilton cheese to an international food fair in Spanish in front of judges. Although the girls had to work with other schools, LHS won the prize for the best 200 word submission prior to the event, outlining what they hoped to get out of the day and Amalia Young won the individual prize for best linguist on the day. Mrs Dwyer and Mrs Formoy were very pleased and impressed to see how well the girls performed when compared to other schools.
