Students Celebrate Epiphany with Homemade Galette des Rois

Students embraced the French tradition of Epiphany on 6 January by creating their own Galette des Rois, a delicious almond and puff pastry cake celebrating the arrival of the Three Kings in Bethlehem.

While many Junior school students made king's crowns, created PowerPoints, and baked cakes at home, Year 6 took it a step further. They recorded a cookery lesson, sharing their culinary expertise and passion with their peers and teachers.

The Year 6 girls' Galette des Rois project not only deepened their understanding of French culture and Epiphany but also showcased their leadership and creativity. Teacher of French, Madame Wheeler, said, "Our Year 6 girls have truly impressed us with their commitment to learning and sharing."
