Community
The soul of our School lies in the care,
support and attention the girls receive.
There is a focused, yet family
atmosphere which visitors instantly
feel and often comment upon. This is
not incidental; it is a culture that is
directly related to the way we operate:
specially trained student mentors
welcome new pupils; a strong emphasis
is put on helping others and good
manners; there is a real understanding
of girls; and we offer small classes.
The School is not over large or imposing,
so everyone knows everyone’s name.
Teachers know their pupils well, and
the girls’ academic progress is
carefully measured. Regular feedback
plays a key part in our commitment to
this: there are parents’ evenings every
term during the Early Years, and in
Year 6 there are two parents’ evenings
and four reports. Our close-knit
community is carefully and
deliberately created.
Did you know...?
Every Christmas, Year 6, the
youngest and newest in the
Senior School, decorate the
tree and share hot chocolate
with their parents and the
Headmaster afterwards.
