LHS Newsletter: 15 December 2023

Dear Parents,

As we approach the festive season, I would like to take a moment to share some of the memorable moments from the last few weeks at LHS.

Our youngest learners delighted us with their nativity play, "Angel Express." Alongside this, our whole School community embraced the St. Nicholas tradition promoting a spirit of giving.

Our annual Candlelight Carol Service was magical and the festivities of Christmas Jumper Day, our Christmas lunch, and the Christmas Fun Run added to the holiday spirit.

On a more focused note, some of our Sixth-Formers took part in mock medical interviews, preparing for their future paths. We also had the privilege of hosting Ernesford School in our Robot Wars competition, promoting friendly competition and innovation.

I am also proud to mention that our drama students curated their own plays and performed them at local schools, showcasing their talent and creativity.

Our girls demonstrated their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by crafting mastectomy bags, reflecting our commitment to community involvement.

Lastly, I would like to thank all those who provided food, which will be donated to local food banks. Your generosity embodies the spirit of the season and the values we hold dear at our School.

I wish you all a peaceful and restful holiday season.

Mr Alan Whelpdale,

Headmaster
