Readathon 2016

Y7 raise over £380 for Readathon charities...

This term, the whole of Y7 have participated in this year’s national Readathon sponsored event within their English lessons, reading for please in order to raise money for charity and earn free books for the school. Since early February, both Y7 forms have risen to the challenge and collectively have raised a fantastic £383.33 for seriously ill children. Their money will be split amongst the four charities supported by Readathon, which raise funds for seriously ill children and their families: ReadWell, CLIC Sargent, Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and Together for Short Lives. This is an amazing achievement and all Y7 should feel very proud of what they have achieved. Well done girls!
