Did you know...?
The Sixth Form Leadership Team
application process is as tough
as a real interview. Candidates
make a video, are interviewed
by the Headmaster and speak in
assembly.
Preparation for life
The last two years of School are
demanding for girls and their parents.
As well as the volume of A level work,
there can be driving lessons and there
is the university application process
too. We help to prepare pupils for
adulthood and independent living by
devoting an afternoon of lessons every
week to our ‘Life after LHS’ programme.
The School Chef teaches cooking, the
Caretakers teach DIY and the Bursar
budgeting. Governors and business
professionals teach interviewing and
CV writing skills. Leaders of charities
outline the benefits of volunteering in
the community, and girls have support
finding work experience. We are very
inventive and have visitors ranging from
Clinique to ex-prisoners. We’re proud of
our innovative enrichment programme
and the role we play in helping students
to become young adults.
