LHS Newsletter: 2 July 2026

{item_alt_tag}

Dear Parents,

As we reach the end of another school year, I am delighted to share our final newsletter of the year.

It has been a fantastic year for Leicester High School, and one that has given us many reasons to be proud. Across both the Junior and Senior Schools, our students have achieved wonderful things academically, on the stage, in sport and through the many wider opportunities that make school life so rich. Just as importantly, they have shown kindness, courage and a constant willingness to support one another.

This newsletter captures just a small selection of the moments that have made this year so memorable. Every day, we see our students grow in confidence, discover new strengths and challenge themselves to achieve more than they thought possible. It is a privilege to watch that journey, and we are incredibly proud of every one of them.

Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. The partnership between school and home plays such an important part in our students' success, and we are very grateful for the trust you place in us.

I hope you enjoy reading about some of the highlights from the year. I wish you and your family a wonderful summer break and look forward to welcoming everyone back in September.

Mr John Partridge
Headteacher

A Message from the Chair of Governors, Mrs Jane Carroll

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support, encouragement and partnership over the past academic year. Your involvement makes such a difference. It is also a pleasure to congratulate Mr Partridge on his first year as Headteacher of Leicester High School and on behalf of all Governors pass on our thanks to him and all LHS staff for their sustained work and commitment to the school.

It has been a pleasure to see your daughters grow in confidence, independence, and enthusiasm during the year.  They have worked incredibly hard and you should feel very proud of all they have achieved. From developing new skills and taking on challenges to showing kindness, resilience, and curiosity.

I hope you and your families have a restful, enjoyable summer break. We wish those students moving on to the next stage in their journey every happiness with new endeavours and we always welcome hearing about all the wonderful things they will continue to achieve.
