Year 10 and Year 12 Students Enjoy Inspiring London Art and Drama Trip

Year 10 and Year 12 students recently enjoyed an exciting overnight trip to London, combining the worlds of art and drama through visits to some of the capital's most famous cultural landmarks.
A particular highlight for the drama students was a visit to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, where they explored the iconic venue and gained a deeper understanding of Shakespeare's works and the history of theatre. Students were also given the exciting opportunity to meet members of the Globe's acting company, learning more about life as a professional performer and the process of bringing productions to the stage.
The group also enjoyed a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), home to an extraordinary collection of art, design, fashion and performance exhibits. The galleries provided plenty of inspiration for our art students, while drama students explored the museum's theatre and performance collections.
The visit took place during one of the hottest spells of the year, and students found a welcome way to cool down at the water feature outside the V&A, where many enjoyed dipping their toes in the water before continuing their explorations of the museum.
After a busy day in the capital, students stayed overnight in a hostel, enjoying time together and developing their independence while making lasting memories with friends.
The trip was packed with inspiration, creativity and unique experiences, giving students the opportunity to engage with art and drama beyond the classroom and experience London's vibrant cultural scene first-hand.
