Leicester High School for Girls marked a memorable milestone for its Year 11 and Year 13 students at the annual Graduation Evening. Guests enjoyed a warm summer evening, gathering outside for welcome drinks before the ceremony and canapés afterwards.
The special event brought together students, families and staff to celebrate the achievements, friendships and personal growth of the Class of 2026.
Headteacher John Partridge opened the evening with a warm welcome. The audience also heard from alumna Ella Wright, Class of 2012, who shared her experiences since leaving Leicester High School for Girls.
The presentation of awards followed, with the Head of Year 11 recognising the achievements of Year 11 students, while the Head of Year 13 celebrated the successes of the Sixth Form leavers.
A highlight of the evening was the Headteacher's Award, which was presented to Shambhavi in recognition of her outstanding dedication to the school community. Through leading enrichment activities, guiding music groups, supporting younger students in their computing ambitions and helping make things happen behind the scenes, she has embraced opportunities, created opportunities for others and consistently lifted those around her with enthusiasm and positivity
Graduation Evening 2026 was a fitting tribute to the achievements of the Year 11 and Year 13 students. As they prepare for their next steps, the Leicester High School for Girls community wishes them every success and looks forward to following their future accomplishments.
