LHS Newsletter: 24 March 2025

{item_alt_tag}

Dear Parents,

As we reach the end of this term, I want to share how proud I am to be sharing my first end-of-term newsletter as Head of Leicester High School for Girls. Over recent weeks, I have seen our students approach school life with confidence, kindness and ambition, supported by families and staff who care deeply about this community. It is a privilege to lead a school where students are known, valued and encouraged to give their best, and I am very grateful for the warmth and support shown throughout the term.

I hope you will enjoy some of the highlights shared in this newsletter, and that the break ahead provides a chance to rest and recharge.

Mr John Partridge,

Headmaster

Ski Trip to Sestriere

This week, a group of pupils are away in Sestriere on the school ski trip and, by the time this newsletter reaches you, they will be well into their time on the slopes. These trips are always a special part of the school year, giving the girls the chance to try something new, support one another and enjoy time together outside the classroom. We look forward to hearing about their experiences when they return.

Sports Camp – Register Your Interest

Following the success of last summer’s Sports Camp led by our Sports Coach, Sam Tratt, we are exploring the possibility of running the camp again this August. The proposed dates are w/c 10 August 2026, from 9.00am–3.00pm, and it would be open to girls and boys aged 8–13. The week offers a great opportunity for children to stay active, try a range of sports and spend time with friends during the holidays.
