Inspiring Leadership in Year 9

Our Year 9 pupils recently took part in an engaging Leadership Session led by Naila Mehrabova, kindly supported by one of our parents.
Drawing on her experience as a board member, Chief Sustainable Officer, former strategic advisor, and Founder and Executive Director of Beyond and Furthermore, Naila gave the girls a real insight into leadership in practice - sharing what it looks like beyond the classroom.
During the session, pupils explored key ideas including vision and alignment, leadership skills, the difference between leadership and management, and emotional intelligence, inspired by the work of Daniel Goleman.
Enrichment Lead Andrew McMurray commented:

Leadership plays an important role in life at our school, and opportunities like this help pupils develop confidence, teamwork, responsibility, and strong communication skills — preparing them for the challenges ahead.
