House Writing Competition 2019 Results 28.6.19
Congratulations and a massive thank you to everyone who took part in this Summer Term’s House Writing competition run by the English Department.
The Department were very impressed by the creativity, imagination and huge range of different subjects displayed by Leicester High. The following winners were selected by an independent judge.
In the Junior Poetry Competition:

1st place winning 30 House points: Zahra I 7T
In the Junior Prose Competition:
In 3rd place, winning 10 House points: Safiya P 7T
In 2nd place winning 20 House points: Maya J 7P
1st place winning 30 House points: Sara I 7P
In the Senior Poetry Competition:

The top two entries form each Poetry and Prose sections went through to vie for the Overall Young Writer’s trophy.
This year, the overall Junior Young Writer for 2019 was: Zahra I 7T.
And the overall Senior Young Writer for 2019 was: Aneesha M 9B.
