Our recent Public Speaking Event brought together pupils from across the School for an engaging and thought-provoking afternoon of debate, with parents also invited to join us.
There was a lovely atmosphere across the school as pupils and staff came together to celebrate World Book Day, with a day centred around reading and the enjoyment of books.
Hosted by our Curie Academic Society and chaired by our new Academic Prefect, Saisha, we were delighted to hold our very first student TED-style talk at lunchtime this week, delivered by Rhema (Year 11).
Year 5 recently enjoyed a memorable visit to Gaulby Lodge Farm as part of their Cornerstones Sow, Grow and Farm Geography topic.
It was wonderful to see so many families, staff and friends in school as Leicester High School for Girls was transformed into a world of pure imagination for our production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
We are delighted to have been named a finalist in the SME Leicestershire & Rutland Business Awards, recognising the School’s commitment to service excellence and the strong relationships it builds with pupils and families.
There was a real sense of energy and inspiration around the school as we celebrated International Women’s Day with a full day of talks, workshops and conversations designed to encourage our pupils to think about the many possibilities open to them in the future.
We were delighted to welcome The Mercians to Leicester High School for Girls for a live, interactive session with students in Years 6–10.
Year 8, 9 and 10 students recently attended a special Enrichment Music trip to hear the CATIL Quintet perform live as part of the Leicester International Music Festival.
