Y9 Visit Beth Shalom
A moving and thought provoking visit for Y9 to the Holocaust Centre...
On Friday 5 June, Year 9 set off on a trip organised by the history department to Beth Shalom, the National Holocaust Centre & Museum in Nottinghamshire. Here they learned about the origins and impact of the Holocaust. The girls looked at exhibitions, saw archive footage, and experienced a tour around the memorial garden. They were also lucky enough to hear Rudi Oppenheimer, a holocaust survivor, speak about his experiences of life in Bergen Belsen, a Nazi concentration camp. It was a very moving day and an experience everyone will never forget.
