Year 6 invade Warwick Castle
Year 6 had a wonderful day at Warwick Castle and enjoyed a variety of experiences from meeting 'prisoners' in dungeons to seeing 4 beautiful eagles fly over their heads!
On Wednesday 24 September, Year 6 invaded Warwick Castle and came face-to-face with its gruesome past and some of its colourful inhabitants. The day began with a lesson in arrow making and arrow retrieving from the medieval battlefield, before exploring the deepest and darkest corners of the castle dungeons. There were screams aplenty as the girls “met” the various characters who lurked in the darkness and gloom of the castle’s depths. Before lunch, Year 6 were entertained by a wonderful flying display of four impressive eagles, and afterwards, everyone climbed the ramparts and to the top of all the towers. It was an action-packed and hugely enjoyable day which gave the girls a fantastic insight into life in a medieval castle.
