Gospel Singing at The Curve
Girls enjoy singing at a Gospel songs show at The Curve...
Twenty girls from Year 6 to 12 performed at the Children Sing Gospel II Show, with other schools at The Curve on Tuesday 24 November 2016.
The songs they sung were Brighter Day by Kirk Franklin and a celebration song called Woza Meli Wami translated as Come My Saviour. The finale song was a mash up of Happy Days and Happy by Pharell Williams.
All the girls sang fabulously especially considering that some of the girls had only three rehearsals leading up to the show.
Many of the girls participating had already performed at The Curve in the Shakespeare Festival the week before and seemed at ease in the Curve Studio. Mrs Fowler and Mr Tang watched the performances from the wings and were pleased at the energy and enthusiasm that the girls showed after a long few weeks with various other rehearsals.
Mr Tang, Head of Music, said, 'I am truly amazed at how all the girls simply raised their performance levels for the occasion and, without sounding too biased, we were definitely the most polished performance! Thank you to Kaine Management for all their support throughout the last three weeks of rehearsals.'
