World War 1 Workshops
Girls in the Junior department had WWI brought to life during a workshop with a 'real solider'.
This week, Years 2-5 were treated to a World War 1 workshop, hosted by a WW1 soldier. Private William Elland, who was dressed in replica uniform, put the girls through their paces to give them a taste of military training. They also learned about life in the trenches and the conditions that the men had to endure. The workshop was finished off with a march around the hall while singing ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’. The girls certainly had a great insight into life as a WW1 soldier, as we mark this centenary year.
