A level Art accepted by New Walk Gallery Exhibition
Every A level student has her work exhibited at City Gallery
Earlier in the year, Mrs Bott submitted A level Art students' work for The ‘LITTLE SELVES’ Exhibition, at New Walk Museum and Art Gallery. 8 out of 10 submitted entries were selected for the exhibition and every girl studying A level art or photography is having her work displayed. Congratulations to Claire Zhang, Kareena Attwal, Simran Roshan, La-Vern Tegede, Fatema Bhogadia and Zoe Callow.
There will be cash prizes for one overall winner and two overall runners-up at the preview which is on Friday 24 March at 6:30-8:30pm. The exhibition runs until June 2017. The School, as a successful exhibitor, has also secured a workshop from a member of the Leicester Society of Artists (LSA) later in the year.
The LSA and Leicester City Council collaborated over the exhibition which is an opportunity for students aged 16 – 19 to take part in a themed exhibition alongside members of the LSA and invited contemporary artists. Miniature works from the museum’s own collection - that are rarely seen in public - will also be included.
