Readathon 2015

Both Y7 forms raised nearly £400 for the Readathon charities this year.

This term, the whole of Year 7 have participated in this year’s national Readathon sponsored event within their English lessons, reading for please in order to raise money for charity and earn free books for the school. Over the course of the past 6 weeks, both Year 7 forms have risen to the challenge and collectively have raised a fantastic £397.77 for seriously ill children. Their money will be split amongst the four charities supported by Readathon, which raise funds for seriously ill children and their families: ReadWell, CLIC Sargent, Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and Together for Short Lives. This is an amazing achievement and all Year 7 should feel very proud of what they have achieved. Well done girls!
