Food Studies at Leicester High

Years studied: Years 6-9. Food Preparation and Nutrition is available as an option at GCSE.

Course overview

You will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to cook and apply the principles of food science, nutrition and healthy eating.

You will develop skills in food preparation techniques, diet and nutrition, hygiene and safety, and wise food shopping. Alongside learning about the relationship between diet and health at different stages of life.
