Mark Dunkley
LLB (Hons), TEP
Chair of Discipline Committee, Member of Finance and Estates Committee
Mark is a Solicitor and Partner, in the Private Client Team and in the Private Capital Group, at Shakespeare Martineau. Mark is also a past Chairman of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) – East Midlands Branch and is an experienced Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planner and is an expert in Charities Law.
Mark has practised in the Private Client work area, including charities, for more than 30 years. He joined Harvey Ingram LLP in 1982 and, apart from a short absence, has worked for the same firm through various mergers ever since.
Mark is the Clerk to the Trustees and is a Trustee of a number of local charities and he is also a Trustee of the Red Arrows Trust and is a past Treasurer of the Society of Conservative Lawyers. Mark is also a Past President of Leicestershire Law Society. Mark is a law graduate of the University of Sheffield and passed his Law Society Final Examinations at the College of Law at Guildford. Mark spends his leisure hours watching and following Leicester Tigers, reading, enjoying foreign travel and horse riding.
Jane Carroll

Jane Carroll was Membership Director for the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA), the professional association for the Heads of a diverse range of girls’ schools (day and boarding) in the UK, before retiring from the post in December 2021. She is Chair of Board for the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel.
Jane has gained over 30 years’ experience in educational administration and leadership. This has involved working with headteachers, staff and governors of primary and secondary schools, managing the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses of study, admissions and examinations in several Universities and organising the adult education and governor training programmes for the Workers’ Educational Association. She is delighted to serve on the Board of Governors for Leicester High School for Girls.
Mary Neilson

Mary has nearly 30 years teaching experience. After graduating from University of London, she taught Mathematics in local secondary schools until moving to Leicester in 1982. Mary has taught for 16 years in primary schools in Leicester, holding the post of Mathematics and KS2 Coordinator.
She has written various educational publications in conjunction with BBC and QCA. Mary is married with two adult sons and enjoys walking, gardening and is a keen reader.

Susan Siesage (nee Webb)

Sue was Headteacher at South Wigston High School until her retirement in December 2021. She held senior leadership roles for nineteen years including Senior Deputy Head at Caludon Castle School in Coventry and Assistant Head at the Lancaster School, Leicester.
Sue came to Leicester in the 1980s, met her husband at the University and stayed! She has two children: David, who is an Associate in Litigation with Allen and Overy, and Hope, a former student at the High School, who works as the Chaplaincy Projects Officer for Methodist Homes (MHA) and is also currently studying for an MSc in Gerontology at the University of Southampton.
Sue is passionate about all young people fulfilling their potential regardless of background. She has led a project called ‘Africa Inspires’, which works with poor schools in Kampala, Uganda, to provide learning resources, sports equipment and mosquito nets. She is currently working to provide puberty lessons, sanitary protection and washing facilities in two of the schools in the project so that girls continue to attend school during their menstrual cycle and their learning isn’t disrupted.
Harriet Mistry

Harriet came to Leicester over a decade ago to study Physics at the University of Leicester. Since then, Harriet has worked in the industrial automation industry holding roles in project engineering, operations, business development and marketing. Harriet is passionate about Women in STEM, organising and supporting events to encourage girls and young women to study and gain a lifelong love for STEM subjects.
Harriet lives in Leicestershire with her husband and son and enjoys playing competitive tennis.
