Medical Society Leads Escape Room Challenge

Leicester High School for Girls’ Medical Society ran a science-themed escape room this week, giving pupils the chance to work through a series of medical challenges under time pressure.
The activity was designed and led by senior pupils in the Society, offering a valuable leadership opportunity and allowing their peers to confidently run an academic session.
Teams raced to match organs to functions, use microscopes to see clues, solve diagnosis-based riddles and finally use their First Air training, unlocking each stage as they progressed. One group achieved the fastest escape time of the afternoon.
The event encouraged teamwork and problem-solving while showcasing the enthusiasm and leadership of our older students as they support others exploring STEM.
The Medical Society continues to offer opportunities for pupils to explore medicine and healthcare, with older students taking on meaningful leadership roles and organising sessions that include hands-on activities and guest speakers.
