This August, Leicester High School for Girls welcomed pupils to its Summer Sports Camp, led by the School’s Sports Coach, Sam Tratt.
The camp offered a range of activities designed to encourage fitness, teamwork, and fun. From skills drills and friendly matches to team-building games, the sessions gave girls the chance to develop their sporting abilities and enjoy an active summer.
The camp was open to both pupils from Leicester High and boys and girls from other schools in the local community, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Sam Tratt, who recently ran the Leicester Half Marathon in aid of local charity Community Wishes, said:
“It was fantastic to see the girls throwing themselves into every activity with such energy and enthusiasm. Camps like these are a brilliant way for young people to stay active during the summer and build confidence through sport.”
Leicester High School for Girls looks forward to hosting future camp activities which continue to inspire a love of sport and provide opportunities for young people to come together.
