Leicester High Launches Two New Sixth Form Pathways

Leicester High School for Girls was pleased to welcome students and parents to its Sixth Form Options Evening this week, where two new academic pathways were introduced: the Multimedia Arts & Culture Pathway and the Law & Politics Pathway.
The evening opened with an address from Head of Sixth Form, Mark Ryman, who outlined the school’s approach to Sixth Form study - combining strong academic outcomes with structured guidance, enrichment and career preparation.
Families then heard from senior staff and subject leaders about the full range of pathways available. Each has been designed to support students with A Level choices, university applications, work experience and super-curricular opportunities aligned with their future ambitions.
The Multimedia Arts & Culture Pathway is suited to students interested in areas such as design, media, literature and the arts, while the Law & Politics Pathway supports those considering careers in law, public policy or international relations. These sit alongside the school’s established pathways in Business & Finance, Medicine & Dentistry, and Engineering & Computing.
Refreshments provided an opportunity for informal conversations with staff and a chance for families to explore the Sixth Form offer in more detail.
Speaking after the event, Mr Ryman said:
Our new pathways are about more than subject choices — they’re about giving students clarity, confidence and real-world insight as they prepare for university and future careers. It was wonderful to see such strong engagement from students and parents.
