Staff Wellbeing Activity

The Art Department recently organised a workshop for the staff, providing them with an opportunity to step away from their work and enhance their well-being.

The workshop focused on screen-printing and tote-bag making, equipping participants with basic techniques and allowing them to unleash their creativity.

One of the participants, Head of Drama Jo Rose, said, "It was an entirely new experience for me, and I absolutely loved it. We were given complete freedom to explore our creativity, and the results have been astounding. Everyone has been creating incredible bags.” If you are looking for a way to unwind and recharge I recommend trying your hand at screen printing or sewing.”

Head of art, Andrew Rose who organised the event said, “Creating a space where our staff could be creative and take a break from their daily routines was very rewarding.”

Librarian, Sally Timms, who also helped lead the sessions, echoed Andrew's sentiments, saying, "Seeing the pride and satisfaction on their faces as they held their finished bags was immensely gratifying."

Looking ahead to the next term, the Art Department has further plans for further employee activities. Amongst them, pottery making will be featured, offering an engaging and hands-on experience for the staff.
