    As the Summer Term begins at Leicester High School for Girls, the school expresses its gratitude to the outgoing senior Prefects for their exceptional work over the past year. Now, it's time to welcome the new Prefect team, who will be stepping into significant leadership roles within the school community.

    Introducing the New Prefects:

    Millie - Head Girl: With a natural flair for leadership and a passion for encouraging unity within the school community, Millie assumes the role of Head Girl with confidence and dedication.

    Shivani - Deputy Head Girl: Bringing creativity and a compassionate demeanour, Shivani steps into the role of Deputy Head Girl, poised to support her fellow prefects and contribute to the School's success.

    Suzan - Head of School Council and Head of Bradgate House: With a commitment to advocacy and student representation, Suzan takes on the dual responsibilities of Head of House and School Council, ready to advocate for positive change and amplify student voices.

    Shamaila - Head of Beaumanor House and Head of Juniors: As Head of Juniors and Head of House, Shamaila embodies a spirit of responsibility and mentorship, ensuring the welfare and guidance of her peers with warmth and enthusiasm.

    Amritha - Head of Charnwood House and Charity: Combining a passion for service with strong leadership skills, Amritha assumes the role of Head of House and Charity, dedicated to developing a culture of philanthropy and community engagement.

    Lucy - Wellbeing and Diversity: With a focus on promoting inclusivity and supporting the holistic well-being of all students, Lucy M steps into the role of Wellbeing and Diversity prefect, dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

  • Junior Department’s Wellbeing Week

    The Junior Department at Leicester High School for Girls has had an exhilarating Wellbeing Week, packed with activities encouraging creativity, gratitude, and community engagement.

    The week began with a lively House music and spotlight concert on Monday, highlighting the students' talents. On Tuesday, a Book Breakfast allowed pupils to enjoy their books and socialise with friends before indulging in pain au chocolat. This was followed by a talent show featuring dancing and singing performances. In the afternoon, parents joined in a relaxing and creative glass fusion workshop.

    Wednesday saw students starting their day with an energising dance routine, and later they enjoyed an indoor picnic lunch. Thankful Thursday featured a gratitude graffiti session and pottery painting.

    On Friday, students came to school in pyjamas, indulged in Steve's Ices, and showcased crazy hat creations in a lively Fashion Show Parade.

    “We're delighted with the enthusiastic participation and community spirit shown by our students and parents throughout Wellbeing Week. It is never too early to start learning about the importance of Wellbeing.” said Pippa Gascoigne, Assistant Head of the Junior Department.

    Wellbeing Week at Leicester High School for Girls exemplifies our dedication to nurturing the holistic development of our students, providing them with opportunities to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
