Year 6 and Year 7 Enjoy Outdoor Adventure at Leicester Outdoor Pursuit Centre

Year 7 students spent two nights at the centre, while Year 6 enjoyed a memorable day packed with activities designed to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork.

Throughout their visit, pupils challenged themselves with a range of outdoor pursuits, including canoeing, kayaking, air trekking, abseiling and team-building challenges. Despite the rainy weather, spirits remained high, with many girls describing kayaking in the rain as one of the highlights of the trip. Pupils paddled all the way to the National Space Centre, enjoying a unique perspective of the city from the water.

The high ropes course tested pupils' courage and determination with challenging obstacles, including moving platforms and a giant swing. Team challenges brought out the girls' competitive side, with the popular crate race proving a particular favourite.

A mini river trip in canoes saw Year 6 and Year 7 pupils working together in mixed-year pairs and groups. The younger pupils benefited from the encouragement and support of their older peers, helping to strengthen friendships across the year groups and foster a strong sense of community.

Whether they were navigating the water, conquering heights or encouraging friends to step outside their comfort zones, the girls embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and determination.
