Jaguar Maths Challenge
The girls in Y7 used their maths skills to race cars against each other in a computerised Jaguar challenge.
All the girls in Y7 spent the day as design engineers for Formula 1 motor racing teams in the annual House Competition on Monday 15 June. The race took place over 70 laps of the Gilles Villeneuve track in Montreal. The teams had to assess the track and then set up their racing car to be as fast as possible, as well as think about how much fuel would be needed and when to have pit stops and change tyres. The day finished with much shouting and cheering as the cars sped round the track, and sometimes into each other.
Congratulations to all the teams for the problem solving skills they demonstrated.
