Rotary Youth Speaks Competition

Public speaking competition for Y11 shows the girls confidence...

On Wednesday 2 December, three enthusiastic teams of Year 11 girls too k part in the hugely enjoyable first round of this year’s Rotary Youth Speaks competition. The girls spoke in teams of three on a wide range of subjects, from “Capital Punishment” to “How Social Media Affects Those in Adolescence”.

Congratulations go to the winning team of Chairman Zoe Callow, Speaker Ruhi Vaitha, who talked both entertainingly and most convincingly on “The Importance of Doing Nothing”, and Vote of Thanks Alisha Gadhia. These girls now go forward to the District Semi-Final round of the competition which will be held early in February 2016.
