Operation Encompass
Operation Encompass is a police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership that enables schools to offer timely support to children who may have been affected by domestic abuse. Our school will receive automatic notification from Leicestershire Police if they attend an incident at the home of a child on our roll.
This is now a statutory obligation for police in England and Wales.
These notifications allow our Safeguarding Team (DSLs) to provide sensitive and informed pastoral support as needed. DSLs are fully trained in responding to these situations. It is advised that our school community is aware of this process and understands how it helps us care for our pupils.
