Year 8 pupils celebrate success in the performing arts

Leicester High School for Girls is pleased to share the achievements of two Year 8 pupils who have recently enjoyed success on stage.

Raeya recently took part in a production of The Sound of Music at The Curve as part of the ensemble. Performing in a large-scale theatre production gave her the opportunity to build confidence and experience working in a professional theatre environment.

Phoebe has also had a successful year in performing arts, receiving the Inter Stage Class Award in recognition of her progress and dedication at Dixon-Woods School of Dance. The award reflects her commitment throughout the year, representing the School in competitions and events, and taking part in solo, duet, trio and troupe performances. Her consistent effort and teamwork have been a key part of her success.

Both pupils demonstrate how Leicester High School for Girls encourages girls to pursue their interests alongside their academic studies and take part in opportunities beyond the classroom.
