Year 6 Enjoy Outdoor Adventures at Beaumanor Hall

Leicester High School for Girls' Year 6 pupils had a wonderful time on their recent residential trip to Beaumanor Hall.

The girls took part in a range of activities during their stay, including a campfire evening where they roasted marshmallows and shared stories with friends. Canoeing was also a firm favourite, with pupils learning to paddle and steer as they worked together on the water.

One of the biggest challenges – and highlights – of the trip was the High Ropes and zip line activity. Many girls pushed themselves out of their comfort zones as they climbed and balanced. The experience helped them to face fears and support one another.

The visit was a fantastic opportunity for the girls to step outside the classroom, build confidence, and strengthen their friendships in a new environment. The trip supports the School’s commitment to developing resilience, independence, and collaboration through shared experiences.

Mrs Nuria Vicente Lorente, Head of Year 6, said: “It was wonderful to see the girls embracing every challenge with such enthusiasm. They encouraged one another throughout, and it was lovely to watch their confidence grow.”

The trip to Beaumanor Hall is a much-anticipated part of the Year 6 experience and provides an important stepping stone as the girls prepare for the transition to Senior School.
