Leicester High School for Girls Hosts Informative UCAS Information Evening

Parents and students gathered at Leicester High School for Girls for the School’s annual UCAS Information Evening—an essential event in the Sixth Form calendar.

Led by Mr Mark Ryman, Head of Sixth Form, the evening offered comprehensive guidance on the university application process, from selecting the right course to writing a compelling personal statement. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about key dates, the importance of early planning, and how the School supports each student in their individual journey to higher education.

Mr Ryman was pictured putting the finishing touches in place ahead of the event, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. Alongside practical advice, guests were also treated to refreshments and informal discussions with staff and fellow parents.

The evening forms a key part of Leicester High’s commitment to preparing students for life beyond school and ensuring they feel confident and informed as they take the next steps towards their future.

“We’re proud of the tailored support we offer our Sixth Formers throughout their UCAS journey,” said Mr Ryman. “Events like this help demystify the process for both students and parents, and reinforce our role in guiding each girl towards the right path for her.”

Leicester High School for Girls continues to support Sixth Form students with one-to-one advice, dedicated UCAS preparation sessions, and enrichment activities to enhance their university applications.
