Leicester High School for Girls Achieves School Games Gold Award for Fourth Consecutive Year

Leicester High School for Girls is delighted to announce that it has achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the fourth consecutive year, recognising the School’s continued commitment to providing high-quality sporting opportunities for all pupils.

The School Games Mark celebrates schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to competitive sport and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.

This fourth successive Gold Award reflects the continued success of the Sports Department, which offers a wide range of opportunities for pupils of all abilities to participate, develop their skills and enjoy sport.

Alongside its own sporting programme, Leicester High works in partnership with the Schools Together initiative, helping to widen access to sport and physical activity across the local community.

Annabel Corcoran, Head of PE, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive the School Games Gold Award for the fourth year running. This achievement reflects the dedication of our Sports Department, the enthusiasm of our pupils and our commitment to ensuring every girl has the opportunity to participate in and enjoy sport.”

The School would also like to recognise Sports Coach, Mr Tratt, for his extensive support in developing and delivering sporting opportunities across both the Junior and Senior School, helping to ensure pupils of all ages can enjoy and benefit from a wide range of activities and competitions.
