Bradgate Crowned Sports Day Champions

Despite soaring temperatures leading to an early finish, students still enjoyed a fun-filled and competitive Sports Day, making the most of the cooler morning conditions before the event was brought to a close for everyone's wellbeing.
The day began at Manor Road, where students took part in a series of rounders matches on the playing fields, demonstrating teamwork, determination and plenty of sporting spirit. Meanwhile, indoor netball fixtures took place in the Sports Hall, providing an opportunity for pupils to compete in a cooler environment while representing their House.
Although the afternoon programme had to be cancelled due to the extreme heat, the morning's events showcased the enthusiasm and commitment of students across all year groups.
Congratulations to Bradgate House, who finished the morning with the highest number of points to be crowned this year's Sports Day champions.
Well done to everyone who took part and to the PE staff for organising an enjoyable morning of sport while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students during the exceptionally hot weather.
